Healthy Butter Chicken



Butter Chicken is one of the most famous Indian recipes which involves chicken (a good source of animal protein). The Butter Chicken available in fats involves lots of cream in the making and hence contains a lot of fats. Here we present to you a healthier alternative to the traditional restaurant style Butter Chicken.

Ingredients:
  1. Cleaned boneless chicken (200 grams)
  2. Onion paste (1 medium sized onion)
  3. Tomato Puree (2 medium sized Tomatoes)
  4. Greek Yogurt
  5. Turmeric Powder
  6. Red Chilly Powder
  7. Garam Masala
  8. Ginger-Garlic Paste
  9. Chopped Coriander
Procedure:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the onion paste, stir fry in along with the ginger-garlic paste in it.
  2. Now add tomato puree in the mixture and put the gas on low flame.
  3. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Now add Greek Yogurt to the mixture and mix well, this is a better replacement to cream as cream contains a lot of fats.
  5. Add turmeric Powder, red chilly powder and garam masala to the mixture.
  6. Now add the chicken pieces the mixture and adjust the consistency of the mixture using water.
  7. Cover the lid of the pan and let the chicken cook for about 20 minutes.
  8. Keep stirring the chicken in a span of about 5 minutes so that it does not stick to the bottom.
  9. Your chicken in now ready to be served, garnish it with some chopped coriander.
